The craptastic video I was talking about in the last post a few weeks back is finally done and uploaded!
As I explain over at youtube, this is the first episode of a little video series I’m hopping to continue making. The idea is simple: we gamers talk a lot about the enemies we confront in games, but what about the ones we have to face on our daily lives while gaming?
This is something I had in my head and paper for a few months now. While the video itself didn’t took that many hours to film and edit, what made it take so long for me to actually finish it was the fact that I can only do this kinda of thing mostly during the weekends. And even during weekends, sometimes I just wan’t to do nothing for a change. All in all, for a less then 2 minutes long video, it took more then it should.
Then again, I didn’t do any of the steps in one sitting. Being a first, this had a lot of tinkering with the camera, lighting and editing, as I wanted to give the best impression possible for the first episode.
Thank you Microsoft for making a video editing tool that makes creating something like this so easy I almost feel bad about it.
Any kind of feedback, ideas for next episodes, or plain compliments on my feet, are more then welcome. (especially the last bit)
As some of you may have already realized, it is pretty evident that our content stream got a bit dry the past month or so. School started for the most part of us, some of our contributors just vanished from the face of the earth, all in all, a number of problems hit our site pretty hard.
Dead is such a strong word, so lets call it an hiatus instead.
Still, don’t worry fellow readers (yes, all three of you), you can expect, from me that is, both a new video and article series. They are still in the making, so I won’t get into much detail before having something more solid to show you all. I won’t be able to put them out as much as I would like to, since I’m currently in college and all that fun stuff, but as always, I’m trying to make something different here.
On another note, I have twitter now! HURRAY!! I use it more to follow others rather than posting about my bowel movements and weather reports of my current location. But I digress. Just add me to the “follow” list if you want, Ill gladly return the favor.
Oh and don’t forget, ideas, feedback, contributions… nude pics? Everything is more then welcome.
And now, here is a picture of a puppy.
oooooohhhh
You see? Now this post wasn’t a complete wast of time.
Hey guys, you probably know us as Elpam, Skambu, Craigieboy, Gasp, and Juggernaut, but…
SHOCK AND AWE! We have real names! And as we move up in the world of being-a-gaming-site, we’re gonna be using them more often. Soon, I’ll have a page up with full bios soon, but for now, use my handy chart.
Waaaait…
SKAMBU: Clay
ELPAM: Caleb
CRAIGIEBOY: Craig
DRATH: Oliver (but call him Oli or he’ll rip your throat out)
JUGGERNAUT: Jon
GASP: Gaspar
So with this knowledge, go forth and use our names correctly! Or at least don’t be confused when we make a reference to them…
Today I want to look at a game that has received more 10/10’s than I care to count! Who’d have thought that a game that allows you to run people over and shoot them in the face would be so highly praised both critically and commercially? I am of course referring to the greatness that is Grand Theft Auto IV!
Well, at least the cover design hasn’t been completely re-done!
Released in April of 2008 on the XBOX 360 and PS3 and selling 3.6 million units in the first day, Grand Theft Auto IV pretty much re-invented the franchise by taking away the ludicrous things that the previous games added such as jetpacks, purple dildos you can beat people up with, and driving tanks through the city streets, and brought the series back to a more down-to-earth, realistic level.
After more then a month long hiatus, I’m back with loads of juicy news and videos! PSP Go Store details, Modern Warfare 2 peripherals, and BOOBIES! Yes, even boobies! Just because I’ve missed you so much. Read the rest of this entry »
Back in June I had the chance to play the open Multiplayer Beta of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, thanks to a user over at Gametrailers, who is affiliated with Naughty Dog I’m sure.
Its nice how game developers are beginning to realize that opening their beta stages to more and more people by giving beta codes to, well, anyone that comes first, is a win-win situation. They get a broader audience to use in their testing, and the hype continues.
This might come off as a little late since the beta has ended for some time now. Nevertheless, the game won’t hit stores until October, so there’s still time!
Just like the ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon’, Juggernaut, Gasp, and Craigieboy have crept out of the darkness to take your fiancee away from you. Weirdly, they’re uglier than the creature.
After an awkwardly long hiatus… I’m back! If you like my work, Digg it, comment, rate, and tell your friends! I won’t keep you waiting for the breathtaking articles coming up, so let’s get this trainwreck moving!
